MacOS Big Sur Issues

We at Servoy are following the release of MacOS Big Sur and the various issues which have been reported. In particular, we are hearing about problems with Eclipse (Servoy’s IDE workbench) + MacOS, which affects Servoy Developer.

Therefore at this time, we recommend that MacOS users do not upgrade their development machines to Big Sur until we know more.

It could be that issues will be fixed by Apple, or that there are incompatibilities or work-arounds which will be addressed in upcoming releases of Eclipse. In the case of the latter, Servoy will work to include the latest Eclipse version in subsequent releases. However, we won’t know this until we get a clearer picture of the issues.
